Don't You Look Striking Today
The looming WGA strike is no longer looming but here, and many of our writerly friends and customers are already feeling the pinch. So, while this nasty strike business is going on, present your WGA card at the bar and get a dollar off your glass of wine. Go on, fulfill the stereotype that writers drink too much...maybe you can stare out a window longingly and explain to the rest of the people in the bar how misunderstood you are.

The Poll Booth - The Hundred Dollar Question
Well, last we left you in the polls, we were just wondering what your drink was. What is that you just automatically order as you belly up to a bar. 36% of you said red wine (teacher's pets), 19% of you said you go for the clear liquors....the vodkas, the gins, the straight grain alcohols. 15% of you went with the beer, 14% of you proclaimed brown liquor as your drinkin' buddy (i'm with you there), 10% white wine, 4% bubbly, and 2% 'The Bone' which is some weird tobasco drink that I wouldn't dare try. So, the hundred dollar question....a friend is giving you a hundred dollar gift of wine that you somehow, by some freaky chance, can control. Would you go for that one fantastic bottle or a dozen table wines? Vote here
