Coho Wines Tasting with Winemaker/Owner Gary Lipp Thursday, June 24th, 7 - 9pm $20/person 4 wine flight + artisanal cheeses from Auntie Em's RSVP to info@cowineco or (323) 478-1985 wines Coho Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir 2007, Carneros, California - $44.99/btl This wine comes 100% from the very last harvest of a rare, small block of older Pommard selection of Pinot Noir on Stanly Ranch in Los Carneros. Planted around 1970, they produce yields of only 1.5 to 2 tons per acre. Focused aromas of black cherry, wild berry and enticing ripe plum aromas mingle with floral violet scents and vanilla. Rich and plush on entry, where the velvety texture of fine-grained tannins expand to reveal layered flavors of black cherry, plum and red currant in the mouth, gaining a refined dimension in the elegant finish. Coho Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2007, California - $44.99/btl The Russian River Valley climate and soils produce wines that have a distinct intensity of fruit aroma and flavors. This wine has a perfumed, deep black cherry and ripe plum aroma, with hints of fragrant cedar, cinnamon and tobacco. It has an elegant structure, with forward fruit and a concentrated depth of Pinot aromas coupled with a silky, opulent texture. Coho Michael Black Vineyard Merlot 2006, Napa Valley, California (93 PTS, WS) - $52.99/btl Appealing and complex aromas of wild berry, red currant with a dusty, mocha-vanilla and warm, cedar-wood spice. Very richly structured and dense on the palate, it shows silky tannins that well-knit together with bold black cherry fruit and a richly-flavored, fruity finish. Coho Summit Vine Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley, California - $49.99/btl Summit Vine Ranch Vineyard is high above the valley floor, at 1800 ft elevation on Diamond Mountain. It has a very dark red color, with beautiful cassis and aromatics of herb, sage-like spice, and vanilla, opening up to a full, black cherry aroma. Mineral, with concentrated blackberry and black currant flavors, fleshy and tannins that are firm in structure but well-integrated, leading to a rich texture and a long, complex and dense finish.

Welcome to the 9th installment of "WINE PARAPHERNALIA THAT MAKES US UNCOMFORTABLE AND/OR SCARED" (or W.P.T.M.U.U.A.O.S. for short)
Yes, we're in Eagle Rock and sure, if you want to be like a Big Bear cabin everything in sight should be within theme like eagle toilet roll holders, eagle ashtrays and eagle oil paintings of eagles done by eagles. But this "hey crazy eagle hold my wine for a second" wine holder isn't ok. The hallowed, majestic symbol of our country in mid-reach-around on my bottle of wine is not quite how I spell p-a-t-r-i-o-t-i-s-m. And it's certainly not how I want to be reminded of the neighborhood I live in (take poor Boogertown, North Carolina, for example....yes, that's a real city). So we're putting our foot down. Here's our plea.... Dear United Plastic Animal Crafters of America: If it weren't for your endless supply of stupid shit, we'd have no material for our newsletters. Keep up the good work. Kindest Regards, CoWineCo

REGULAR WINE TASTING SCHEDULE
Friday Wine Tasting: Lemonade Stand Friday, June 25th 5:30 - 8:30 pm $15/person for 5 wines + artisanal cheeses from Auntie Em's For most people, the last couple of years have been at the very least trying times. There's the old adage, "when life gives you lemons...." etc. etc. blah blah.....well, when life gives CoWineCo lemons, we make Meyer Lemon Yogurt Cupcakes. Not literally (unless you go next door to Four Cafe), but in the form of remarkable new wine deals that we wish we discovered five years ago when we first opened this place. The Guelbenzu red by itself would be worth $15 just for the discovery of your new house red. Yes, we're predicting your new house wine. Deal with it. You'll thank us later. wines Leonildo Pieropan Soave, Verona, Italy Ciacci Piccolomini de Aragona IGT, Italy Augustinas Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile Bodegas Guelbenzu Red, Ribera del Quieles, Spain Three Saints Syrah, Santa Barbara, California
