Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

This question always causes mini-riots during the holiday season so why not just throw that bomb out to our lovely cowineco customers.  Which is THE BEST Christmas movie ever?

Beans Don't Burn on the Grill, The Nearness of You, and What Pairs Best With a Roman Candle?

*** Happy 4th Everyone!  We're open our normal hours all through the holiday weekend including tastings on both Friday night and Sunday afternoon ***

What Pairs Best With a Roman Candle?

It's 4th of July weekend and we all have visions of being on a blanket somewhere at night with friends and family, staring at fireworks bursting in the sky with a beverage of choice in our hands (that last part is just as American as anything else, right?).  If Wild Turkey isn't available, then you might want to go with a bottle of wine.  Want to make it easy?  Get a twist-off bottle and 2 GoVino plastic stemless picnic glasses (pictured below).  It's the to-go package of choice for many Hollywood Bowl fanatics over the past weeks and it's definitely what we're going to do.  Well that and the Wild Turkey.

Fish Don't Fry in the Kitchen, Beans Don't Burn on the Grill

Of all the heated debates that happen over a pint of beer or a glass of wine, the 80's theme song struggle is legendary.  Usually the tone-deaf person knows the melody and the other person knows one lyric to the third verse.  And for those of us old enough to remember a time where bets weren't solved by the internet, we know how six hours of 'it's on the tip of my tongue' can torture a poor couch spud.  I personally lost some money last year as I swore on my mother's grave (sorry Mom, I know you're still alive and kicking -- just seemed like the right phrase at the time) that the theme to Greatest American Hero was sung by James Taylor.  Stupid, stupid, I know.  But it's close.  Listen to it sometime.  Actually, listen to it at our tasting this Friday night on the 4th where we will be playing 80's theme songs ALL NIGHT.  We can only imagine some fierce competition will spring up as proud 80's kids try to name the tune first.  Just no fisticuffs.  Please.  Unless you're Fonzie.

Have a song you want on the playlist on Friday night?  Send us an email (info@cowineco.com) and we'll do our best to have them cued up.

Jan-Michael Vincent (aka Stringfellow Hawk)...please come to our tasting...and everytime someone makes a screeching hawk sound you can look pensively into the sky.  warning...that will happen a lot.
