Anglim Winery: Special Tasting Next Friday the 29th

     Sorry to hit you with email twice in one week but we have just confirmed a tasting for the 29th that we wanted to give everyone advance notice about.  We are proud to host winemaker Steve Anglim next Friday where he will pour his line of gorgeous Rhone varietal wines. 

     Steve Anglim's winemaking career began innocently enough when his wife and daughter gave him a home winemaking kit.  That hobby blossomed from their garage, to courses at UC Davis, and finally to Anglim Winery which was founded in 2003.   Anglim focuses his efforts on the wines themselves and leaves the growing to such renowned vineyards as Fralich and French Camp Vineyards in Paso Robles and Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Maria:  

“I want to work with my growers,” said Anglim. “I’m not a farmer, and I

think it’s better for my wines if I stick to what I know and work with passionate

people who know their vineyards. I want to be focused on the winemaking..."

     Anglim Winery is owned and operated by Steve and Steffanie Anglim – and it is truly a family effort. Steve serves as winemaker, and runs the daily operation. Steffanie assists with sales and marketing activities and tastings, and daughters Stephanie and Sofia provide cellar help.  And, other family and friends are often seen pouring at local events.   

     We believe Steve is a winemaker on the cusp of getting some real notoriety and of course, you want to get his wines BEFORE all the wine trades write him up and suddenly they're gone from the shelves.  But don't take our word for it, come on by and taste them yourselves.
